Book Cover Reveal!
Hey there!
Well, let’s not beat around the bush. I’m excited to reveal the new (and in my opinion, improved) version of the cover for my first novel: “The Portal to Aardon”
Drum roll please…
BEHOLD!

Deep down, a fire rages in everyone…
Marko Fember only ever wanted a normal life. And for sixteen years, he had one. But everything changes when he inherits his late father’s dog tags, which awaken pyromantic abilities he didn’t know he had.
As he investigates his newfound magic, he discovers he’s from another realm called Aardon. And that the inhabitants of Aardon fled to Earth to escape an evil warlock, who will stop at nothing to finish the war he started.
As if the stresses of growing up and finding yourself weren’t enough already, Marko must now learn to harness his magic and reopen a portal home… or seal the fate of his entire realm.
Will he rise like a phoenix — or crumble to ashes?
It’s beautiful, isn’t it?
I hope you love the cover as much as I did working with the artists at ebooklaunch.com. They did a phenomenal job, and I look forward to working with them again to make covers for my sequel novels.
I’m wrapping up formatting and final edits and plan to have this up for preorder on Amazon sometime next week. Release date is planned for Aug. 27 (one month away!) and then I will get to work on book 2 for either the end of the year, or early 2025.
Yes, book 2… it’s still happening. The whole book has been written and just needs to be properly edited. I will be looking for beta readers to read a draft of the book ahead of time and share any feedback they have, so if you’re interested in that be sure to look out on my social media/future newsletter for how you can be part of that.
I’m also in the process of revamping my website, so once that’s finished I will share that in the next newsletter too.
I think that’s all I have… thanks to those of you who have subscribed! I look forward to re-sharing this book with you all again soon with a few fun additions, and of course continuing the story into book 2.
Best,
Matthew J. Stott
