January 2024 Newsletter

Book 2 Updates!

Hello everyone!

It’s been quite a while since my last newsletter (6 months to be exact, but who’s counting?) so I figured with the New Year, this was the perfect time to share some updates on what’s been happening with my writing.

Are you ready to journey through the realm of Aardon?

First off, the original release date for Book 2 was supposed to be last September (whoops again) but is now looking like April/May at the latest. The sequel to my first novel, “The Portal to Aardon,” has taken more work than anticipated, but that only means I intend to deliver as great of a product as I can to readers!

I won’t leave you hanging though, so here are some teasers:

And one more sneak peak from the first chapter:

Marko sighed. The strength of every mage’s magic is tied to the realm they’re born in, and that is where it’s in its authentic, most powerful state. He had the luxury of home-field advantage in Simmerton, where he was born, but now, Sara’s and his magic were weaker here in Aardon than everyone else’s, even compared to mages like Brock who had little to no training.

“It’s been a long day for all of us,” Rayne told the room. “Let’s adjourn this meeting, have our vigil for those who gave their lives, and get some rest. We can pick things up again in the morning once we’re all refreshed. There are several chambers of beds available, which will need to be shared by families while extra cots are constructed.”

A fireball exploded over everyone as someone entered the room and cleared their throat.

“Excuse me. Last time I checked, those beds and that food don’t belong to you.”

Book 2 immediately thrusts Marko and his friends into a whole new realm, with new faces and new conflicts. Stay tuned for more!

If you haven’t already, please follow my author pages on social media to keep up with the latest information in the instance it takes another 6 months for the next newsletter to come out… (hopefully it won’t). I appreciate each and every review I’ve received for Book 1, and hope you’ll stick around for Book 2.

If you made it this far, thanks for your time and support!
